Those who know me will know I do like a rant and probably moan over stoopid things. I like it! But flicking around t’interweb earlier on I got me head on about this, which is just ridiculous. If you can only watch TV programmes you missed on TV on the internet then sort your TV planning out. Before I hear screams of ‘well not everyone has Sky+’ (in my head of course) don’t give me that shit. I’d hazard a guess that the people moaning are complete geeks anyway so probably do have Sky+. Even if not, most bleedin’ VCR players have video plus and that’s old skool. Oh hang on, why not just watch it when it’s on? No, that’s too easy.

I also clapped my already annoyed eyes on this little beauty. Something inside me has always despised people who take the time out of their wanky little life to complain about adverts. The Kelloggs complaint is perhaps a prime example of not only how stupid people can be but also how PC this country is becoming. I’ll put this in simple terms in case anyone somehow stumbles across this who complained. It. Is. A. Very. Large. Dog. Being. Ridden. By. A. Man. To. Get. Home. For. Crunchy. Nut. Corn. Flakes.

It is not real. If anyone tried to do this to an animal that size I’m confident enough to say they probably wouldn’t do it again. They would either cause themselves an injury or realise it cannot be done. These people probably stand proud thinking that they’re doing the rest of us a duty by airing their grievances. What they don’t realise (as many others point out) is that they are actually creating the type of interest advertisers and marketeers are looking for. I saw that advert months ago and never once considered whether it would be possible – one of the sole reasons is that I don’t think I could find a dog that big. Now, not only is the advert stuck in my mind (don’t worry I still don’t wanna buy Crunchy Nuts but will of course associate them with that advert everytime I see them), if I ever do see a dog that size I will probably ponder about whether I could actually do it.

Ahhh that’s better…although have I fallen into the territory of one of those people who moan? And even worse, moan about others moaning? I’m worried now.

Well, I maintain my thoughts on the below post about Glastonbury probably not matching up to previous festivals from several years ago but my god, the Arctics absolutely 100% stole the entire show last night. Everything about their set just screamed energy and although we all know Alex is a lyrical genius, as a live band that would take some beating…by anyone in my humble opinion.

I felt I was watching ‘summat’ special and i was stuck in front of a TV (good night thank you Mr Shore) so to be there to see it first hand must have been awesome. As proven by the fact my lucky bastard mates phoned me during the middle of Brianstorm, didn’t say anything and just let me listen to it live. There’s one word for people like that, and that ladies and gentleman, is ‘twats’ although I mean that in a friendly way of course.

Festival time…again

Well the o2 Festival finished here in Leeds yesterday and although I would have liked to have gone if only to see Daft Punk I’m kinda glad I didn’t. Seemed a lot of money for not too many major acts methinks. Glastonbury is coming up and my lucky mates managed to get hold of some tickets…and a rather plush camper van (not as good as Jim’s parents though). Unfortunately, I have other plans so will not be knee deep in shit for three days.

That doesn’t mean to say I’m OK about it, as one of the reasons of going was for us all to catch up again and go back to our hedonistic days of yesteryear. Somehow though I don’t think it would be the same as those long summer nights several years ago stood in a tent at Creamfield, 2am, arms folded, in amazement watching John Digweed for 2 hours straight just in awe. Or walking into the Bugged Out! tent at about 4.30am at Gatecrasher Summer Sound System only to find it in complete darkness save the brightest torch I have ever seen being floated around by a certain Mr Danny Tenaglia. Or in the Bacardi Breezer bar at about 6pm at Homelands with the funkiest set I’ve ever heard from Joey Negro…so funky the bar staff jumped up on the bar Coyote Ugly stylee and refused to serve punters until they’d had a dance. Good girls. Why didn’t I ever think to take a camera with me to these things?

Well it’s been raining for the last few days…then typically on Sunday it’s beautiful sunshine! Probably a bit too nice to stay indoors really, but it’s a school night and busy week this week for me so going ‘out’ isn’t really an option. I really need to get my blind fixed as well

…it when a good new band give away free music to promote themselves! Also better when they’re from Leeds.

Doubtful these guys will make it big due to the sheer amount of stuff out there at the moment but I hope I eat my words (click on the music link and then ‘listen’ to download).

We also like it when ‘Xpander’ by the genius known as Sasha shuffles on…oh, the bassline. Does it everytime.

Hmmmm…second time around of doing one of these blog things. Let’s see how it goes this time. One of the reasons I’ve started again is my shiny new PC – I have now entered geekdom in a reliable way after the experience of my laptop (but cheers to Mr Shore for getting me on the bandwagon to begin with).

Also cheers to Jim for helping to set me up. After some initial gremlins (my slackness not yours dude) all seems OK…fingers crossed.
